I am truly a novice in the world of advertising. Every time I have a month-long dry spell in my shop, I vow that I'll start advertising somewhere. In never seemed to pan out, though. I'd get confused and stop pursuing whatever avenue had thwarted me at the time.
Not long ago, however, I discovered Project Wonderful. I started out as a publisher, providing ad space on my blog. I loved that I could control what ads get displayed on my site, and that once approved, advertisers bid on the spots, allowing me to just sit back and get paid ;).
After reading up on being an advertiser, though, I decided that this would be the perfect place to get started. It is actually a very easy process. The hardest part was designing the ad. This is what I came up with for my first one:
Mind you, this is shrunk down to 125x125 pixels. What do you think? Is there anything I should change? I can't make the text any smaller, or else it wouldn't be readable. If I get a decent response with this ad, I might try more in different sizes/shapes.
Do you use Project Wonderful? Keep your eye open, because your site might just show up in my campaign!
